7th CBC 2016. Comparisons Across Time and Space

Venue

The 7ht edition of our conference has taken place in Leiden, 08–10 September 2016.

Abstract

The interdisciplinary approach has always been a central issue for the Coffee break Project. The core of this conference is to enlarge the idea of comparative studies and try to define the paradigms and parameters that are required to compare religious, philosophical as well as cultural phenomena not only in space but also through time: “Transtemporal history has yet to come into vogue.”

Jo Guldi & David Armitage, The History Manifesto. Cambridge University Press, 2014, p. 1

Different young scholars and researchers will join together trying to compare the different methodologies of their field of work. Thus the conference will provide the instruments to develop an advanced methodology, focus on best practices and achieve results internationally shared.
